Beyond a doubt millions of players are trying to be the next "mega star" in poker, but here is a short list of four of the more famous "great guys" of poker. Granted "nice" is associated with their names when you are sitting accross the table from them it is "no more Mr. Nice guy" until they have put you out of the game!

Daniel Negreanu

In 2004, his tournament payouts amounted to more than four and a half million dollars and he came away with two immensely respected awards in the WSOP Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine's Tournament Player of the Year. In February Two Thousand and Six he was appointed Card Player's Preferred Poker Player. He still has the decency to talk to his fans about how they will be able to improve their own game.

Howard Lederer

Called "The Professor" and sibling of fellow poker pro Annie Duke. His success has allowed him to make an instructional poker video named "Secrets of No Limit Hold'em" and also holding a tournament poker show for Fox TV. As of Two Thousand and Five, his total life earnings exceed $2.7 million.

Scotty Nguyen

Scotty is one of the busiest players in professional poker and between Two Thousand and 2004 he ranked in the money in more than one hundred events. He's notorious for saying "yeah baby" during poker matches and also coined the term "that's poker baby" when alluding to a particularly bad defeat. As of Two Thousand and Six, his life time winnings are just about 6 million dollars.

Chris Ferguson

Chris has captured 5 World Series of Poker titles with 2 of his wins coming in Two Thousand and Three. Chris has the nickname "Jesus" because of his characteristic long hair and beard, along with his ability to throw cards fast enough to cut through bananas and pickles. As of 2005 his total poker tourney winnings exceeded five million dollars.
