Web poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years many types on the first poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling 21 than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the house rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is little bluffing or other types of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up before the dealer saying "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the other players receive 5 cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the bank's first card, you need to in turn make a call wager or give up. The call wager's value is equal to your beginning bet, indicating that the risks will have doubled. Bowing out means that your bet goes instantly to the casino. After the bet comes the showdown. If the house does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, with an amount equal to the ante. If the bank does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand beats the dealer's hand. The bank pays money even with your ante and set odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
