Have you viewed the new PokerPro texas hold'em poker tables? The first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about three weeks back when I took a quick vacation with my mother to the WinStar Gambling den in Oklahoma.

As I waited for my turn to be acknowledged at the live tables, I observed how the other people at the PokerPro tables interacted with each other. It was very fascinating to say the least. Since the poker table was controlled by a computer, there were no poker chips to do any chip hints, no cards to shuffle and the actual live experience was stale. Maybe I was the only one that noticed this, but I did notice the gamblers in the table had a lifeless quality to them. The cause of this might be because there was no human interaction with the dealer, the atmosphere was relatively boring and the players looked bored stiff. It was nearly as if I was seeing a live variation of an internet hold em poker room instead of being seated with warm bodied humans. It was a little bit creepy and I continued to have flash backs to an episode of The Next Generation and the holodeck broke down.

Since the waiting time for the reside tables for more than an hour, I made the decision to see how the game action was and to understanding this new holdem poker gaming technology. Following playing a couple of hands, I really felt like I was playing at house. The lack of activity on the table was the main reason. I prefer to stack and shuffle my chips, and mix my cards about. None of those things are feasible at these computer tables.

Another thing I discovered was how the computer dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I bet a great deal of hands in the PokerPro table and noticed that the play was a lot like an online texas hold em poker site. That might have been just a coincidence, but I found it to be very odd.

Right after playing a few rounds with this "unique texas holdem poker technology", I decided that the PokerPro tables were not for me. I'm much better off betting hold'em poker on the internet at home and not travel the distance. If WinStar Gambling establishment had been to get rid of the live poker tables, I think they would shed a lot of gamblers.
