Mrs. Duke may not have won her 1st World Series of Poker Bracelet until 2004 but she remains one of the most powerful poker competitors at the cash games at The Bellagio in Las Vegas. Annie's longawaited World Series of Poker bracelet came with success at the "cast aside game" of Omaha high-low.

While players from the "younger crowd" of poker go crazy after a big win at the tables, Annie heads back home and becomes "mom" to her 4 children. She was born in New Hampshire into a family of poker competitors. If you do not believe that, watch her brother, Howard Lederer, in action who educated her how to gamble on the game.

However, Mrs. Duke is no small fry kind of girl and has won her share of demanding tables, which includes knocking out Howard a few times along the way. They are both competitors that have the capability to capture the big $$$$$ and do it with a grin.

Annie is a strong player at any poker table because she is a real poker player, but it's a little more than just being good at the game. Mrs. Duke is very smart and graduated from Columbia University where she took a double major in Psychology and English.

When you take a seat across from her at the table you'll see Annie Duke is there to play the game and she starts "summing" you up as soon as you approach the table. If you cannot play like a camp, then don't bother.

Earning over three million dollars in tournament competitions, Annie Duke became a adviser to both UltimateBet.com and actor Ben Affleck, who wished to sharpen his skills and become a power at the poker table.

You might just catch a glimpse of her at the Bellagio, you'll notice her on the tv and you may even participate against her in an online poker match, but do not count on an easy win. Unless you are a camp-in-the-making, you won't defeat her. However, it would be fun to mention you played at the same table as "The Duke".
