Online poker has become globally famous as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its television scores. Over the years many variations on the earliest poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not in reality poker anymore.Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers bet against the bank rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no conniving or different types of bamboozlement.In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up prior to the dealer declares "No further bets." At that moment, both you and the house and of course all of the different gamblers are given five cards each. Once you have observed your hand and the bank's first card, you must in turn make a call wager or accede. The call wager's value is on same level to your original bet, which means that the stakes will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your wager goes immediately to the bank. After the wager comes the faceoff. If the dealer doesn't have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, plus an figure on par with the original bet. If the bank does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand beats the casino's hand. The bank pays out money equal to your original bet and fixed expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
